Our Lady of Grace Parish Buildings Preservation Trust

Meet Our Trustees

Board of Trustees

Our trustees bring together professional expertise with community commitment, leading the urgent mission to save Our Lady of Grace Church from closure.

Church Conservation Strategy

The Trust's preservation strategy focuses on saving Our Lady of Grace Church from closure by June 2026. Professional heritage assessment by Dr Nikolaos Karydis and Dr Cassandra Harrington confirms the church's exceptional significance as one of England's earliest reinforced concrete churches and a rare example of Neo-Romanesque ecclesiastical architecture.

The church listing application (Historic England Reference: 1494732) and completed Conservation Plan guide urgent repair works including roof restoration, structural stabilisation, and conservation of Fr Gregory Chedal's exceptional hand-carved woodwork. The Trust has proposed to accept the gift of the church building from the Assumptionists to secure its future as a centre of Catholic worship.
